Relive the days when the pinball table was king, but play like you have
unlimited quarters. Pinball Hall of Fame resurrects seven of Gottlieb’s
greatest pinball machines spanning the 60 years of arcade pinball’s
golden age. Recreated in a stunning 3-D environment, the game play, visuals
and sound effects are so authentic, you'll feel like you're in a real arcade.
You can choose from such classic tables as Ace High, Central Park, Big Shot,
Genie, Black Hole, Victory, and Tee'd Off.
Pinball Hall of Fame features:
Play on seven classic Gottlieb pinball tables from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
Historical art, fun facts and an unlockable bonus table. Multiplayer action for up to four players. Bonus arcade novelty games for even more old-school fun.
"FarSight Studios have already proven they can handle “ball physics” with last year’s release of Mojo! and if nothing else, Pinball Hall of Fame features some of the most realistic ball movement and reactions in any pinball game to date on the PC or a console. The flippers react very well with the tap of the R1 and L1 buttons and the left analog stick gives you variable control over the launch plunger for those skill shots."
"FarSight has really done their homework in researching the original materials for these tables. All of the bonus material is totally authentic but nothing compares to the stunning artwork of the tables themselves. The colors are rich and vibrant and there is a polished sheen to the glass top that reflects the unseen vertical score section of the machine. Even the cool silver metallic ball reflects its surroundings."
- Game Chronicles
"The developer FarSight Studios has managed to recreate these pinball cabinets to perfection on all three gaming consoles."
- Next Level Gaming
"I’ll flash forward to last week, when a package shows up from Crave: Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection for the PlayStation 2. After picking my eyes up off the floor, I proceeded to rip open the shrink wrap and pop the disc into my system, cackling merrily all the while. Folks, this is a history lesson for you with 8 classic tables from Gottlieb’s long history of pinball machines, and I actually remember playing six of these quite well."
"Farsight Studios has managed to capture these classic tables in perfect detail..."
"...this is absolutely recommended if you’re a pinball fan or want to know just what the fuss was all about."
"Genie was my baby from the moment I laid eyes on her, and playing this wide-body table after almost 20 years makes me smile a whole lot. From the lovely lass grinning from the back glass and assorted spots on the table, to the sheer smoothness of the flipper action and quirky sound effects (for a pinball table, it’s not as noisy as you’d think), this is still one of the all-time great tables."
- Bonus Stage
"When it comes to rendering a pinball machine on a PC or console, there are a few key things that absolutely must be done and done well. Ball physics, obviously, are key. In this area, Pinball Hall of Fame does a good job at rendering a realistically moving ball."
"Overall, Pinball Hall of Fame offers a fine collection of classic pinball machines. It looks good, controls well, sells at a budget price, and should be a no-brainer as an addition to your library if you're a fan of simulated pinball. "
- GameSpot
"Kudos goes to Farsight Studios for creating a true to life simulation of pinball physics."
"It’s the perfect game for those who want to kick back and relax."
- Games First!
"I do have to hand it to FarSight Studios; they definitely nailed the sights and sounds of the world of pinball."
"Nice little touches such as dangling stuffed animal prizes and the flashing letter in the restroom sign really help to convey the vintage arcade feel.
When the menu pops up, a 1970’s guitar rock tune plays in the background. Then you choose a pinball machine and you are off."
"While playing, you can momentarily forget that you are playing a video game as the ball goes rolling around the table. "
- Game Vortex
"The tables look great, with both authentic graphics and sound from the original tables. It is almost as if each of the tables was scanned in its entirety and put into the game. Every detail is meticulously replicated."
"Sound is exceptional with the full range of bells and bumps that accompany a pinball game, along with a very authentic replication of the unique sound a pinball makes as it just rolls across the table. In addition, the sound designers added in some nice ambient sounds that a player might hear if he were really playing in an arcade."
